Artithmeric 9 Issue #2

14 Tom, who lives in the north of England, is that rarest of breeds - a full-time artist/cartoonist and illustrator. He is a stay-at-home Dad (with five kids and therefore the school-run nightmare from hell!) and fits his work into the quiet of the day and the nights after the children are in bed. That work ethic comes from his own upbringing. His parents were both artists, they met at art school, and he well understands the practicalities and realities of making a living from art. Tom’s hectic time with his children and his steering their own artistic education and immersion in the comic-book culture of his own childhood; Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Ren and Stimpy, The Tick etc. have placed him in an ideal position to join us at Artithmeric on a new project we are launching early in 2020. He will be writing and drawing an all-new all-ages comic strip to appear in our (currently top-secret) bi-monthly subscription comic for kids aged from 6 to 12. More news of that in the next issue of Artithmeric 9 that is due for publication in December or January.
